Shooting on location in eight states and Canada, the magazine-style show brings viewers stories about the recreational, economic, scientific, political and environmental issues related to the Great Lakes and drinking water.

Oct 24, 2024 · Since the opening of the St. Lawrence Seaway, about 65% of aquatic invasive species were introduced to the Great Lakes via ballast water. The 2000s saw stricter ballast legislation in Canada and the United States. Recently, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced the finalization of national ballast standards, in order to further control the release of pollutants and invasive species.

The Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding Company in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin unveiled the Mark W. Barker earlier this year after spending nearly three years constructing it.
