Farmers are holding a ‘Delhi Chalo’ march from Noida to the Parliament complex in the national capital, demanding compensation and benefits under the new agricultural laws. Ahead of the protest, heavy traffic disruptions were reported across Delhi and Noida.

These protesting farmers are seeking a 10 per cent allocation of plots and a 64.7 per cent hike in compensation under the previous land acquisition law, equivalent to four times the market rate.

Meanwhile, a ban has been imposed on all types of goods vehicles traveling from Yamuna Expressway to Delhi via the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, as well as from Sirsa to Surajpur via Parichowk.

Vehicles from Chilla Border to Greater Noida must take the Sector 14-A flyover, proceed through Golchakkar in Sector-15, and continue through Sandeep Paper Mill Chowk and Jhunjhupura Chowk to reach their destination.

In view of the proposed march, police personnel, along with the Rapid Action Force (RAF) and a riot control vehicle, have been stationed at the Chilla border to prevent protesters from entering Delhi.

Farmers from 20 districts, including Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, and Agra, will join Monday's march to Delhi. Barriers have been set up at the Noida-Delhi borders.
