With their first MLS Cup title in 10 years, the Los Angeles Galaxy are back after defeating the New York Red Bulls 2-1 on Saturday. They didn't wait long to start the scoring with Joseph Paintsil opening things in the ninth minute of play before Dejan Joveljic doubled the lead in only the 13th minute of play.

Joseph Paintsil (ninth minute) and Dejan Joveljic (13th minute) got the Galaxy off to a fast start at Dignity Health Sports Park, and despite a push by the Red Bulls, they could never find an equalizer. Sean Nealis did get one across for the Red Bulls in the 28th minute, but it was not enough in the franchise’s first MLS Cup appearance since 2008.
