A top NATO military official on Monday urged businesses to be prepared for a wartime scenario and adjust their production and distribution lines accordingly, in order to be less vulnerable to blackmail from countries such as Russia and China.

The chair of NATO’s military committee warned business leaders to prepare for a “wartime scenario” and bring their production lines back home, rather than relying on China or Russia, to avoid blackmail or sabotage — as Trump has vowed to restore his “America First” agenda.

Admiral Rob Bauer, Chair of NATO's Military Committee, said firms must change their distribution lines as "it is the economies that win wars".
