Colorado records a spike in DUI crashes during the holidays, says state patrol
The Colorado State Patrol is holding another DUI enforcement period this month. It will go from December 12 to December 25 and will include officers from the CSP and local law enforcement agencies. The CSP said that Colorado tends to see a spike in DUI crashes and fatalities during the holidays.

From Dec. 12 through the 25th Colorado State Patrol along with 75 local law enforcement agencies will increase their presence across state, county, and local roads. This is an annual campaign in response to an increase seen in impaired driving-related crashes and fatalities around the holidays.
Colorado State Patrol sending DUI team to Pueblo
The Colorado State Patrol (CSP) said between Friday, Dec. 13 through Sunday, Dec. 15 there will be an increase in patrols focused on impaired driving. According to CSP, Pueblo County has experienced 78 fatality crashes and 231 crashes where occupants have gotten serious injuries since 2020.
