Cyclone Fengal is set to make landfall along the northern Tamil Nadu coast this evening, with heavy rainfall and winds expected across the region. Air travel has been disrupted, with flight cancellations and suspensions at Chennai Airport.

Cyclone Fengal is gradually moving closer to India's eastern coast and Chennai, along with the state of Tamil Nadu are bracing for impact. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the intensity of the storm has been categorised as T2.
