The Kremlin said on Monday it had noted that President-elect Donald Trump's circle was speaking about a potential peace plan for Ukraine while the current U.S. administration of Joe Biden was not and was seeking to escalate the conflict instead.

Ukraine's top private power company DTEK said on Monday it would receive 107 million euros ($112.30 million) from the European Commision and the United States to restore power facilities destroyed in Russian attacks on Ukrainian energy system.

The U.S. government is providing $46.1 million to purchase control systems and dozens of new transfers, while the European Commission pledged 62.8 million euros ($66 million) to restore 1.8GW of generating capacity and to protect power plant equipment from elements during the winter.

DTEK, the largest private energy company in Ukraine, will receive €62.8 million from the European Commission and US$46.1 million from the US government to rebuild the facilities destroyed by Russian attacks and prepare power plants for the upcoming winter.
