Two Peoria Police officers were pinned against another car by a suspect before he was shot dead on Sunday morning, the police department said.

One person is dead and two police officers were injured after a shooting Sunday morning in Peoria. According to Peoria police, the person involved in the shooting died on location near 91st and Grand avenues.

PHOENIX — One person has died after an officer-involved shooting in Peoria on Sunday morning, authorities said. At around 6:50 a.m., police responded to an incident near Grand and 91st avenues. Authorities said officers had received information from a business owner about a male who was going through other vehicles.

Peoria police responded to the area of 91st Avenue and Cactus Road after receiving information from a nearby business owner who was watching his video surveillance cameras and saw a man at his closed business. The suspect was also going through vehicles nearby, according to a news release.
