COLUMBUS, Ohio - In response to lake effect snow accumulations as deep as 5 feet with more on the way, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine on Tuesday declared a state of emergency in Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga and Ashtabula counties.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine declared a state of emergency for numerous Northeast Ohio counties due to the heavy snowfall over the past few days.

In addition to the support the state has already provided, we anticipate that more state resources will be necessary as the week progresses.”
