The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) has strongly dismissed claims that it has distanced itself from Chinmoy Krishna Das, the Hindu monk who was recently arrested in Bangladesh. The organisation reaffirmed its support for Das and called for the protection of Hindus and their places of worship in the country.

Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, also known as Krishna Das Prabhu, is an ISKCON monk and prominent Hindu leader who was arrested in Bangladesh for his alleged involvement in protests against violence towards Hindus.

ISKCON members continued their protest outside their Albert Road centre in Kolkata demanding the release of Chinmoy Krishna Das in Bangladesh who was arrested from Dhaka airport on Monday.
