President-elect Donald Trump announced tariff plans for some of the U.S.'s biggest trade partners. He is proposing a 25% tariff on all imports from Mexico and Canada, plus a 10% tariff on goods from China.

The president-elect calls it an effort to force them to crack down on illegal immigration and drug smuggling into the US.

Mexico and Canada are the United States’ top two trading partners, accounting for nearly 30% of trade volumes.
