A cryptocurrency entrepreneur who had bought a piece of conceptual art consisting of a simple banana, duct-taped to a wall, for $6.2 million last week ate the fruit in Hong Kong on Friday.

Tron ( TRX) blockchain founder and crypto billionaire Justin Sun just ate the world’s most expensive banana. During a news conference in Hong Kong last week, the crypto billionaire ate the fruit displayed in the controversial artwork by Italian visual artist and art prankster Maurizio Cattelan.

Justin Sun, who purchased the work just last week, also pledged to buy 100,000 bananas from the vendor who originally sold the fruit for $0.25

Justin Sun fulfilled his promise to eat the controversial artwork at a glamorous hotel in Hong Kong, describing the taste as "really quite good".

The winning bidder of Maurizio Cattelan’s famed banana duct-taped to a wall installation immediately pulled it off the wall and ate it. This isn't the first time this has happened.
