Jerod Mayo clarified the comments he made after the Patriots’ 34-15 loss to the Miami Dolphins. The New England Patriots head coach took the blame after the loss, but he was asked at what point should some of the blame go on the players.

The Patriots’ locker room was a depressing place to be when the team was only used to losing a handful of games each year. The Patriots clinched their third straight season with a losing record Sunday. Mayo anticipated a “hard” team meeting following the loss to the Dolphins.

Jerod Mayo said his team took Sunday's "butt-kicking" at the hands of the Dolphins personally, and dismissed a report that players were laughing in the locker room after the defeat.
