An on-duty Bellevue officer "was involved in a deadly force incident" on 120th Avenue Southeast on Monday, according to the police department.

BELLEVUE, Wash. — A person is dead after a police shooting in Bellevue, the Bellevue Police Department (BPD) said in a release Monday afternoon. "Today at 12:28 p.m., an on-duty Bellevue Police Officer was involved in a deadly force incident. As a result, a person is deceased," BPD posted on its official police blog Monday.

A SWAT team was called to a Bellevue home Monday morning after an incident involving a man with a knife. According to a Bellevue Police Department (BPD) spokesperson, at 9:50 a.m., police were dispatched to a report of a neighbor armed with a knife in the 4300 block of 120th Avenue.
